Sing and Sign win national prize
Sing and Sign named "Best National Toddler Development Activity"
MORE than 14,000 votes have been counted and the results of the prestigious What’s On 4 Little Ones Awards 2009 have been announced - Sing and Sign has won a National Prize for the third year running!
The award programme, which is sponsored by children’s food company Organix, aims to celebrate the best pre-school activities across the UK, as voted for by parents. Nominees ranged from toddler groups meeting weekly in church halls to highly branded classes offering specific skills and experiences.
This year, over 14,000 online votes were cast for more than 40 activities. Every pre-school activity in the UK had an equal opportunity to be nominated and voted for, making the awards a true representation of how parents feel towards what is on offer for their little ones. Sam Willoughby of What’s On 4 Little Ones said “Every year the awards get bigger and better. We’re so proud of all our winners who have clearly demonstrated excellence in their field.”
We are very proud to say our very own Sing and Sign has been named winner of the category “Best National Toddler Development Activity 2009”. Previous awards won by Sing and Sign include "Best Baby Signing Class" and "Best Nationwide Activity for Under 2's". Sasha Felix, founder of Sing and Sign said, "I am absolutely thrilled Sing and Sign has received this award! Our classes encourage a baby's early listening skills and attention, eye contact, gestures and shared smiles all enjoyed with our magic ingredient - music! We know it's a great way to encourage early communication. We also know parenting is often relentlessly hard work and parents deserve to relax in our classes and enjoy seeing their babies having fun! I'm over the moon that What's on 4 Little Ones parents seem to agree our approach is a winning formula.”
