  Hi! My name is Dania and I'm privileged to teach baby signing to the wonderful babies of Dronfield, Chesterfield and the Hope Valley!

  I had my first child in March 2020 and we did Sign and Sign and it was one of the best things I could have ever done for my child as a parent. I wholeheartedly credit this amazing course with how well my child can now verbally communicate. I absolutely jumped at the chance to be able to share this with other families.

  The ability to communicate with your pre-verbal child is priceless, it reduces misunderstandings and the frustration that causes and increases confidence when communicating physically and verbally. It's the best foundation for your child in so many areas of their lives.

  The Sing and Sign course is split into age appropriate classes. Babes is for newborns up to 6 months. Stage One which is suitable for babies approximately 6 - 14 months old & Stage Two is a more active and interactive class for babies 14-24 months.

  Each class is taught through easy to learn songs and their "actions"/signs and lasts about 40-45 minutes. Babes is a 5 week course, with an option to do another more in-depth 5 week course. Over the 10 week courses of Stage One & Two we will cover a lot of relevant themes using nursery rhymes, instruments, props and books learning over 100 signs! We encourage a calm, relaxed and welcoming environment and are cool with letting your little one roam and explore (as long as they're safe!)

  From Stage One, in addition to the venue-based course, you will receive access to the Gold Membership of The Jessie Cat Club, our online resource, which includes a handy signing dictionary, games and bonus video content. This also includes access to the award winning @Home programme (online course) which is an invaluable resource to use throughout the week or if you can't make it one week.

  On those weeks you've not got up to much it's great to have this weekly class to look forward to - Sing and Sign is great for learning a new skill, deepening your bond and improving communication with your baby and also making new friends!

  If you're going back to work we welcome grandparents and childminders bringing your little one along instead.

  Increasingly I'm approached by parents who are returning to work, seeking advice on which local nurseries use signing with their children. Baby signing is an invaluable tool to use with children, particularly in multilingual communities, and it offers many benefits and rewards, for children and staff alike.

  Sing and Sign has an excellent Nursery Affiliation Programme which will train staff on their own premises at a time to suit all. We will teach staff a selection of signs, tailor made to the nursery's individual requirements and design an Individual Action Plan to inspire staff and make signing fun and easy to incorporate.

  Following training, the nursery will receive a Certificate of Sing and Sign Affiliation together with ongoing access to our signing resources and a complimenatary package of products. Our Sing and Sign Nursery Affiliation Programme is effective, efficient, good value for money and highly regarded by the nurseries that I have visited.
